We worked off a collection of ideas that the podcast team sent over and I played with different ideas to do with visual separation that included a slight crossover, using gradients, halftone patterns and spray effects.
After a little back and forth, the team agreed that it could be difficult to get across the idea of political polarisation without using the colours red and blue, so the final graphic we settled on was very direct and simple in the end.
